SHORT notice: HIM Boutique

Hey Lovers...

I know this is short notice, and I meant to post this last night, so forgive me.
HIM Boutique on Dresden Row is having a Summer Patio Party today. 

( it sucks that it's raining out there) oh wells
Here are some of the details.

Join us at HIM for our official summer kick-off party! Halifax’s newest men's clothing boutique is hosting a day-to-night patio party and we want to see you there!

There will be music, beverages (wine and beer), sushi from Hamachi House Fine Japanese Cuisine and giveaways –to top it off.

We are excited to announce our special guest - @yelphalifax. Ben B. will be on location with additional giveaways. He will also be assisting you in the set up your Yelp Check-In account.

The boutique will be tax-free all day, however, if you Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or Check-In using your Yelp account - you will receive an extra 10% off.

a RoofTOP.Sunshine & a WATERfront stroll

Hey Lovers. 

Finally the weather in Halifax is starting to brighten up our lives.
I absolutely love Thursday nights! Most Thursdays my friends and I meet up to just let loose, catch up and have a bite (Thursday being wing night).  

Today was such a beautiful day and we managed to snag a table on the rooftop of my favorite wings spot.  After wings we took a walk to the waterfront for some ice cream. If you live in Halifax try the ice cream at Cows.   (but I'm pretty sure if you live in Halifax you have endured the long lines, at least once, and it was ALL worth it). I had a scoop each of  "Gooey Mooey" and "Wowie Cowie" *giggles at the names*

sidenote: Hi, My name is Mo and I'm a tad lactose intolerant but LOOOVEE ice cream. I would rather face the consequences later. #asyouwere

1. Introduce Yourself: My name is Bee, born and bred in Nigeria, inhabiting in the US of A. Loves fashion, addicted to color. I can be found on my blog, www.chictherapyonline.blogspot.com.

2. what inspires you: I am generally inspired by people who despite all odds, confront the status quo e.g FelaKuti, Freedom riders, Nelson Mandela, Ken Saro Wiwa, Bob Marley … just to mention a few.. When it comes to fashion, I am inspired by color.

3. What made you start chic therapy accessories: I have always loved wearing colorful African inspired accessories and I decided to start making my own handmade pieces when it became difficult to get varieties that complimented my style. After a while, requests started coming from friends and acquaintances to buy my handmade pieces. Inspired by my love for vibrant colors and traditional African print fabric, I caved in, and voila! Chic Therapy Accessories.

4. Do you make the accessories yourself:  All accessories (with the exception of the woven ethnic bangles) are handmade with love and care by me.

6. What accessory can`t you live without: This is a tough one but I am going to go with earrings. I have an obsession for earrings and I am constantly buying and adding more to my collection.
