Hello Lovers, 

Over a week ago I got the chance to schmooze with some really cook kids at a social thrown by new store in the neighborhood, RCHMND.  It was an uber fresh vibe as I hung out with my boys from 5fortyfive and was so delighted to bump into my super hunky friends Beau and Seby! I made some cool new friends too that night as we all browsed the store's merchandise of some indie designers and met the owners

Hello Lover, 

Last night I went to a showcase of 4 emerging designers presenting their collections at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.  I asked my friend, Verena, to be my date for the night as we always have an amazing time hanging out together.  How BEAUTIFUL is she!!!! 

This fall I have challenged myself to try different lipsticks so I created my own little concoction of M.A.C Grape pigment, which thankfully the bestie, Shariena forgot at my place, and FRED's Super Raspberry Gloss.  This is the glorious lip color that resulted from the mix. What do you think about the lip color? Frankly, I LOVE it!

Also, I will be sharing pics from the event in the next few days when the official pics are available.  In the meantime take a peek at this amazing shot I took of my friends Meredith and Christian. I just couldn't wait to share it, they are perfection!

Girls' Night

Hello Lover,

Last Saturday I was treated to some much needed girl time with my loves Shariena and Tosan.
It was such a great dinner at 44 North, filled with laughter and tonnes of chatting.
While Tosan and I were getting ready I had to prove to her how much dark lipstick does NOT agree with me. I had to take some pics to show you how I look with Revlon's Va Va Violet.
aaaakkk this lipstick just changes my whole personality in a bad way, it's weird!
As soon as I put on my red I just shouted "and I'm back!" HA!
Maybe a lighter shade underneath it might help.. *kanye shrug*

A Bright Fall.

Hey Lover, 

Last night I went to the Reginald Magazine Fall Party.  Guest were encouraged to come in their fall faves and well, you know me, my whole life regardless of season is color, color and more color!

I was so excited to wear this dress. I have had it on a hanger on my wall staring at it everyday as motivation with my path to health.  I'm still juicing and working out and so glad that it's paying off. Check the biceps yo! HA!

Little Burgundy

Hello Lovers, 

Last Wednesday I went to the official launch of Little Burgundy here in Halifax at Halifax Shopping Centre!
It was nice to finally meet the LB team about weeks of emailing back and forth.
They were gracious enough to let me pick something in the store as a gift. I picked 2 things, a pair of shoes and a pair of earrings.
However, because of my shrek-like feet they had to have my size shipped to me as it was out of stock in the store. I cannot wait to show you the shoes, in the meantime checkout pics of the stock + my new earrings.
I wish the LB team all the best as they grow the brand!

Thrifted Gatherings

Hello Lover, 

Just thought I would share some thrift store finds. 

Amount spent = $25

1. gorgeous oversized purse with an amazing wooden handle. I am tempted to keep the handles and use different fabric, however, for now it will stay as is. 

2. multi color geometric shaped top. 

3. lightweight jacket with an eye catching 90s print. It reminded me of my friend Helena when she rocked something similar to a fashion show we went to together. HERE

4. pleated, sleeveless yellow dress. So excited to wear this before the summer ends AND before I start throwing layers on it for the fall and winter.

5. another multi colored top. This one has such fun buttons and print.

6. gorgeous oversized scarf. This will be great for turbans and layering for the chilly months. 

7. burgundy-ish mens shoes. These are perfect for my low profile days. 

Happy with my haul, now to give them a good clean & dream of how I am gonna be styling these pieces up!
